TK brings a rare blend of executive and senior management experience from Silicon Valley start-ups to Fortune 500 commercial organizations and US Defense large contractors. He has been currently serving as an Executive at the MIT Bay area chapter of VLab and is working to create a cyber-security startup. TK’s current passion and vision are pursued in Cyber security, Cloud, mobility and IoT networking & virtualization, and application of AI and ML analytics and AR technologies.
TK had served in numerous technical standardization organizations (ANSI T1, ATM Forum, ADSL Forum, IETF). TK holds several patents on Networking and Security and had served and published as Technical Editor for the famed IEEE Communication Magazine for about a decade. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an INCOSE certified ESEP (Expert System Engineer) and is also PMP certified. TK has been a Silicon Valley resident and US citizen for most of his life and holds a US DoD Secret clearance for the last 8 years. After BSEE, TK holds a M.Sc EE from Queen’s university and completed 2 years of doctorate education at the University of Toledo, USA.
TK has conducted R&D work at the original Bell Labs at NJ and MITRE for a number of years prior to moving to Silicon Valley. Since then, he has been responsible for turning around several midsize Networking start-ups as CTO and VP of Engineering. TK also held years of Senior Management responsibilities at Fortune 500 commercial organizations such as 3Com, NEC, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Motorola and large DoD defense contractors as Rockwell Collins and BAE.
